OTHER PHOTOS WILL BE LOADED IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS ! the 'GREBE' 26 foot van der stadt fixed keel marine ply yacht. This yacht was purchased by us about 5 months ago and sailed from Pt Turton to the Wallaroo Marina where it is now moored on a private mooring. We don't have the time to use it and now it must go. I was told by the previous owner that this yacht started its life in Port Lincoln and was once the fastest yacht of its size in the lincoln Yacht Club. It was then sold and sailed to Port Vincent where it spent a few years and was then purchased by our previous owner and sailed and moored at Port Turton. It is of marine ply construction with aluminium mast and boom and plenty of stainless fittings. It has a 5 foot 6 inch fixed keel which I am told has a couple hundred kilos of lead ballast. It has a marine toilet, sleeps 3, has a new sailbag, a stainless steel auxillary motor bracket (which cost $500 a couple of years ago) motor, a 9.9 hp evinrude engine which runs well and starts easily with a 20 litre portable tank, a small solar panel to keep the battery charged, it had a new AM/ FM radio and 27 Meg marine radio fitted a couple of years ago, it comes with the usual fire extinguisher, anchor and ropes, life jackets, life buoy, it has a manual and an electric bilge pump fitted. It was last anti-fouled in about May/June of this year where we inspected it on a jinker trailer. The boat is sound, no apparent leaks etc. It was given a lick of paint back in May/June when in dry dock, some of this paint is already cracking a peeling in places and it needs someone with a bit of time some sand paper and a paint brush to keep it maintained. The roof of the cabin hinges up to give full headroom in the cabin. The good thing is it is a lovely old boat that will still be around for another 20 years with a bit of regular maintenance. The bad things are it has a bit of peeling paint/ the toilet seat hinges are broken by a over anxious user and the main sail has several minor rips down low. (I have been told they need minor repair). The other sails in the bag in the boat have not been out of their sail bag since we or the previous owners have had the boat. I am told their is a couple of head sails in the bag - but I have not looked. I am no sailor! But I have sailed twice ! So please dont ask me technical sailing questions, beacuse I probably will not be able to answer them. Any questions please ring Rob 0408214581.
